Meet Our Team

Karina Hutton

Karina is the owner and president of the company. She has extensive experience in the service industry and lends her experience to our technicians. Joining her insight into the service industry with the best electrical and HVAC technicians in the area, Karina saw an opportunity to join her family in offering industry-leading service here in Hampton Roads. As a class A contractor, Karina is licensed with Hutton to perform any electrical or mechanical projects, which enables us to provide five-star service no matter the project size.

She grew up surrounded by hard-working tradesmen from a time of having old-fashioned skill and honesty when serving their community. She then married into a family of excellent tradesmen dedicated to their craft. She saw firsthand the training and integrity it takes to provide quality service and what it takes to become a place of employment that is sought after by talented tradesmen.

Focusing the vision and mission of the company on service and repair rather than construction enabled Hutton to fill a gap in the industry. Karina and her team are focused on growing their operation to the surrounding areas while making sure not to sacrifice the service that’s made the company what it is today.

It can be heard in the hallways of the company office: “No one cares how much you know … until they know how much you care,” a motto that reverberates to every technician no matter their experience. This is to say that even the best technicians can offer poor service if they don’t care about their customers. This is, at its core, the attitude of the company and its technicians and customer service representatives.

Karina is a wife and mother of four daughters, who are learning more about the family business every day. She enjoys spending time with her family, drawing, and homeschooling her four daughters.

David Hutton

David is a Master Electrician and a true expert in his craft. He has experience with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical service work. He graduated from his apprenticeship at the top of his class with honors. After becoming a Master Electrician, he worked at Dominion Energy in the construction department and the network line department, where he trained to be a medium-voltage cable splicer. Seizing an opportunity to go into business with his family, he left Dominion to focus 100% on the family business, and thus Hutton was born.

David focuses on the systems and processes of the business to ensure every Hutton customer receives the same pricing, communication, and quality. The oldest son of the late Eric Hutton, David continues his father’s electrician legacy by working with the same integrity daily. Eric often said, “If I can’t fix it, it ain’t broke.” These words have loosely become a family motto, and Hutton is routinely found to go above and beyond to repair people’s homes and businesses.

A husband and father of four daughters, David is a proud family man who works to make his family just as proud.

Joseph Hutton

Joseph is a licensed electrician and talented heating and air conditioning technician. He graduated from both electrical and HVAC apprenticeships with honors. His experience has led him to become an expert in heating, air conditioning, and electrical work, with focus on military housing, building automation, and HVAC. In addition to providing quality customer service, Joseph lends his experience to developing new operating procedures, quality assurance, and field supervision.

As an absolute asset to any team, Joe routinely goes above and beyond to ensure every customer feels like our only customer. Joseph is the youngest son of the late Eric Hutton, brother to David Hutton. Joe enjoys spending his free time with friends and family and playing guitar and harmonica.
